43 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So - if you were going today and could request any non-perferred room - which would you request?

I need something to day dream about on this cold, grey, snow filled day in Minnesota!

We really enjoyed our stays in Jamaica 41 and Martinique 23. Both are non-preferred. If you're dreaming anyways, why not dream that you'll get a free upgrade and be placed in Martinique 26.

Thanks everybody, for your input. It's so very helpful!!

We're leaving on Friday and staying at CBR. I'm disappointed b/c the temps are going to drop and I was really looking forward to the new pool area. We orginially booked it for June, but had to cancel b/c I broke my foot. Do you think we'll still enjoy it and how warm does it have to be to swim in your opinion? Up here I don't swim unless it's 75, but we don't have the humidity.

We're from Ohio and several years ago we visited WDW in
February. It was in the upper 60's, but it felt warmer than that to us. Maybe it was humidity, maybe it was just because it was 20 back home, but we were all over the pools! They're heated, so it's not so bad -- and guests from the south thought we were crazy but we loved it!! Hopefully you'll feel the same!!

We just made another payment on our trip tonight. We just returned from a 2 day trip to Disneyland so we are really excited:lovestruc

We have booked a preferred room. Is there one location that is better in your opinions??? :goodvibes

Anyone know what mugs they are using at CBR now?
We have stayed 3 times and the first time they had Caribbean Beach mugs and the last 2 times they used the year of a million dreams mugs.....
Do they have new ones now or are they still using the same ones?
I liked it better when each resort had their own mugs,.
Any photos??

We are thinking of staying at CBR in February, and have read many horrible reviews about in on Trip Advisor. We stayed there a few years ago, and it was very nice. Are those reviews accurate, or are some people just not satisfied with anything?

Also considering staying at CSR, since they just recently finished refurbishing all of their rooms. But would really like to stay at CBR.

Any input from anyone who has been to CBR recently would be appreciated.

Just back from CBR...loved it as usual! Stayed in a pirate room...very cute and themed so well...my boys loved it.

We're hoping for a Sept trip and I was planning all along on staying in a Value again, but then my 2 older girls saw the pirate rooms and that was the end of that. Now we're going to have to re-budget and see if we can swing a stay at CBR. I'm wondering about the beaches, though -- are they truly recreational beaches, or are they just part of the landscaping? Can the kids build sandcastles while Mommy and Daddy lie around on beach towels? I know this is a dumb question but I'm really not clear on this!

Thanks!

Your kids can absolutely build sandcastles while the parents laze around. There are beach chairs and hammocks on each village beach. The kids' chicken nugget meal comes in a plastic sand pail complete with shovel that the kids get to keep. If you don't buy the meal, you can still purchase a sand pail and shovel in the CBR store. I think they were about $1.00. I have pictures of the beaches in my trip report. If you'd like to take a look around the resort, just click on the link in my signature below.

Would you recommend CBR for an anniversary celebration? DH and I were going to go to Vegas to renew our vows but with airfare being so high and us just getting back from WDW today we decided we want WDW for our anniversary. I definatly do not want a value and we are short on DVC points and can't justify the extra $$$ for a deluxe so moderate is the way to go. We want a king bed since I can't see us sharing a double for our 10th wedding anniversary. Since you can book a king at CBR I figured that was the best way to go. Would you go on your 10th anniversary?

Thanks for the info on the beaches, Lisa! I'm going to work my way through your trip report...it's going to take awhile because I'm the last person left on the planet without a high-speed internet connection so the pics are taking ages to load. It's worth it, though! Thanks again.

Just be sure to stay out of the water! From what I understand, if there is standing water in FL, there are gators!

We're staying at CBR in June, and can't wait. Lying in a hammock on the beach sounds like a wonderful thing while I'm here at my in-laws, where it's been snowing for the past three days....

I would :) We love the CBR. We've stayed there numerous times including for our 1st anniversary and I'd stay for another one

I would! But I'd go and get the 2 doubles and sleep apart! :rotfl2: I've been married longer, and the thought of a double - alone - sounds Great! :rotfl: All kidding aside, I'd go! :thumbsup2

I think that CBR is a very romantic resort. It would be great for an anniversary.

I'd definitely recommend the CBR for an anniversary trip. In fact, we celebrated our 24th and 25th anniversaries at the CBR. There are many spots around the resort that have a romantic feel to them.

You're quite welcome. I hope that you'll make comments on the trip report. We've all become quite close friends over there.
