NEW PORT RICHEY - Sun Toyota in New Port Richey had an unusual patron in its car lot today: an 8 foot, 7 inch alligator.

The gator had parked itself under a Toyota Highlander when it was found this morning, said car manager Robbie Boston.

"His head was sticking out. If you would have gotten out on the driver's side you would have almost have stepped on his head," Boston said.

A customer and a car salesman spotted the reptile about 9:30 a.m.

"It scared the lady pretty good; she was all shook up," Boston said.

Licensed trapper Scot Barbon was called to the dealership, at 4023 U.S. 19, to remove the gator. Barbon managed to catch it, and with the help of two Pasco County sheriff's deputies, moved the gator into a cage.

Did you feel violated when they stuffed you in the cage? Next time don't stick your head out and they wont see you.

Steve - Don't tell me an outdoorsman such as yourself has never had gator balls!!! I'll bet you have, but by another name.

For those of you unfamiliar with the term, here's a basic recipe for making gator balls.....

Finely shredded, cooked Gator Meat (use the tail meat - the rest is too tough)
Seasoned or Plain Bread Crumbs
Spices of Choice
As many eggs as it takes to make everything stick together.

Mush all of the above together until well mixed. Form into bite-sized balls. Deep fry in 350 degree oil until golden brown. Drain,,,,dip in cocktail sauce (or tartar sauce if that's what you prefer) and eat!!

Gator balls go great with a cold beer and a side of fries. Cole slaw, too!

You can also substitute crab meat, lobster, smoked fish for the gator. Then you'd have crab balls, lobster balls or fish balls.

What were YOU thinking??? Hmmmmmm??????:confused3

I have been told once or twice that I have a dirty mind. Whoduhthunkit?

I have had Gator Tail called Gator Bites but, trust me, I would have no problem eatin' Gator Balls.:scared1:
