The only thing that makes me sad is that I have to leave my doggy for 11 days.....

But I went to his place, it's not a kennel...it's more of a canine resort! It's called Auntie Barbara's Bed, Bath and Biscuit. My dog will not be in a cage, but gets his own bedroom in an old farm house that has a tv, couch in his room, with a window (a nice country view) plus they play with the dogs and take them out 16 times per day, their plan is wear the dogs out so that they are tired and sleep and not worry where their mom's and dad's are.
They have staff there all day until about 8 p.m. and the lady that runs it lives in a house right next to the dog's resort. So at least I felt good about that and my dog seemed to like the staff and the place (we went there yesterday to check it out). I just hate him thinking I abandoned him. But they said I can call every day any time I want to check on him, so that makes me feel better.

I keep telling him he is going on "vacation" in two weeks.....
