I know people use bazzill card, but I am curious; what other makes of card can you use and would you recommend? This is for use in swaps.

Thank You,
princess:.

if the swap doesn't say then any heavy acid free cardstock will work. Normal paper is 24lb weight and cardstock starts about 80lbs...but can get heavier. I like (Ok love) good heavy cardstock. some of the packages from Michaels are just too thin to make cards out of even though is says its cardstock. If you have a LSS that sells cardstock by the piece just ask for the weight but 9 out of 10 time it's going to be over the 80lb. weight.

As Marissa said, if it isn't specified for the swap the only "expectation" is that your cardstock be acid-free. Personally I don't care about my CS being really heavy (card weight) because it just adds to the thickness & weight of the page. I figure once it goes down on the page no one will be playing with it. ;)

Either Mikes or JoAnns (can't remember which, sorry) carries loose cardstock by Die Cuts with a View. It's usually included in their sales - 5 or 6 for $1. This has a "woven" texture to it also, just not as pronounced as Bazzill. (That's part of the appeal of Bazzill for me...the texture.)
