Anyone have the recipe for the caramel dipping sauce from O'hana at the Polynesian resort?? If you do, could you send it to me via private message? Or post it here......

THANKS A MILLION!!!!!!!!!

I don't know the one from Ohana's...but if its just Caramel ...then all it is is sugar heated unitl it reaches the diesired color and a little water mix together than let cool.

Oh you can also use a little heavy cream to lighten the color if it goes a little to dark.

I suggest using a sauce pan that can handle heat.

I'll be there in a couple weeks and will ask. Lots of people love it.

Please let us know! I just bought some car. sauce last night, hoping to duplicate it! :p

I use the Smuckers caramel sundae topping on fresh pineapple all the time. It's not as good as 'Ohana, but it'll do in a pinch.

While at Ohana's last week I asked our server (Margie) about the Caramel Sauce. She told me to use the Marzetti brand Caramel fruit dip and thin it down with a little milk. Cream might be nice too. ;)

Let's all try that and see what we get.
