We are staying offsite at a resort that offers a shuttle to WDW Parks once a day. Would you suggest renting a car or taking taxis. I am trying to figure the cheaper route car (tolls, parking, rental, gas) vs taxi.

We are staying on I drive.

Any suggestions?

Thanks:confused3

How far away are you staying? If you staying at one of the DTD hotels or nearby enough you probably won't have to deal with tolls. Parking is $14/day, but you can move your car between lots and not have to pay again. Within in WDW you can probably get to most places for between $15-$20 per taxi ride (standard taxi).

If it were me, I'd opt to rent car because of the freedom it gives me. I don't have to wait for a taxi to arrive (in case one isn't at the taxi stand). The onlyplace where I think a taxi is probably better is going to and from Magic Kingdom because you can ask the taxi to take you to CR and then walk to MK, instead of having to park at the TTC and then take the ferry or monorail to MK.

Rent a car. It's possibly a bit more money, but *MUCH* more convenient---especially if you ever find yourself in a situation I was earlier this month, at WWOS after the ESPN 5K packet pickup. I called for a cab, and was told "30 minutes". Luckily, the WWOS-DHS bus was still running, and I then boated "home" to BWV from there. But having a car would have been a LOT better.
