Hubby and I are trying to figure out the best way to get to our hotel from MCO. Were not sure the best route, either a car service or uber/lyft. If a car service, what is a good company?

Best is very subjective. Are you concerned about price? Convenience?

A few months ago the answer was very subjective. Today not as much.

Car service customers have a set price and the assurance of a waiting car.

Ride share companies now feature dynamic pricing. I've recently seen Uber pricing as high as $85 from MCO to WL.
I've read about guests waiting 30 + minutes for a ride share at MCO.
FL Tours is a board sponsor. Tiffany towncar gets good reviews. Tony Hinds is popular.

Which hotel? Is it just the two of you? Will you have lots of luggage? Do you need/want to make a grocery stop on the way?
