Car Service Questions

We have always rented a car but always stay onsite at Universal and generally only used it to get there and back to the airport. We're staying 5 nights next week and with parking at $14 per day now we have decided to use a car service. My question to everyone who has used a car service (we have made reservations with FL Tours), do you pay the round trip total price when they pick you up or do you pay half on the way to the resort and the rest on the way back? It makes me a little nervous paying it all up front. What if they don't show up for the return trip? Maybe I'm just a worrier (I am!) Any thoughts?

I've never worked with FL Tours, so I don't know what their policies are. We always used Mears when we flew in. You may want to call FL Tours and see what their payment policy is.

I never used FL tours but have used mears and paid up front and had no trouble except when the driver confused my first name with my last but I had the voucher on me so he looked at it and realized he made a mistake and real didn't hurt anything and both our drivers were very nice

Thanks for your responses! I have been reading through the boards and it seems like everyone has good experiences with the different car services they use. I'm sure it will go well!
