Last year when we went we brought our own car seat. We had our 1 year old sit in it on the plane then in the rental car.

Next year she'll be 3 and we will again have a 1 year old with us.

What do people do with there kids on the plane and in the rental car?

It was difficult to walk through the airport with 1 car seat. Can't imagine what it would be like with 2!

Any advice on what to do?

I have asked the same question and found out there are back pack bags made to carry car seats. I haven't used one, but I plan to borrow one from a friend for our next trip at the end of Aug. I have also toyed with the idea of using a bungee cord to attatch the car seat to the rolling luggage, or a rolling luggage carrier. I'll have to play around with it over the next few weeks.

This was definitely one of the factors I considered in my fly vs drive options. We drove the past 2 years, but I just can't stand burning those 3 extra days. With the Jet Blue prices so low, I could live with a few uncomfortable moments of lugging stuff around.

DS (age 6) uses a high back booster, which we checked last January. When we claimed it off the carousel, DH did just what TSF suggested, he bungeed it to the large wheeled suitcase, and it worked like a charm!!! So much so that another Dad with twin 4 year olds in tow, came over to check out our setup. :teeth: DH gave him our extra bungee cord, so he could at least get one seat out of the way.
