Car seats...help!

We brought our own carseats on our first trip, and they were fine. We forgot until we were checked in that we needed them so we called the person who drove us and she undid the seats and brought them in to get them checked for free onto our flight. I was relieved. The stewardess came and told us before takeoff that they were indeed on board. We used them in the seats on the way back and it was much more comfortable for the kiddos. They slept.
