You might want to rethink that. The lap belt probably won't stop her from flying around in turbulence. In addition, most people think that their child is "calmer" for lack of a better word on an airplane when in the familiar car seat.
If you seriously think she's going to be such a handful that she becomes a safety hazard to herself in flight, speak to your pediatrician. I've heard of several advising mild antihistamines (Benadryl for example) which not only makes the child a bit drowsy, but also can help with ear ache problems due to pressure changes. Please don't administer this without speaking to the pediatrician first. I'm not advising it, just reiterating what I've heard others doing.
