Anybody ever rented a car seat along with the rental car? If so, how was it? Clean? Dirty? New? Old? Worn out? We are considering just renting a car seat along with our rental vehicle.
Our DS has a Britax Wizard car seat (very large!) and we took it along 2 trips ago when we rented a car. It was a pain in the butt to cart it through the airport (even with the car seat duffel with wheels). Its just so big and bulky. Plus we don't even want to check it in luggage for fear of it getting damaged on the plane. On that trip our DS was 15 months and we did use the seat on the plane. This trip he'll be 2.5 years old and MUCH bigger.
Our last trip we didn't rent a car so we didn't take his seat. He just sat in the plane seat and did great.
Any advice or experiences to share? Right now our reservation is with Budget.
