Phew, I feel like I have a Phd in car rental now. Jeez, I think they make things difficult just to get people to give up and book something. Finally after many, many tries inputting every code, coupon and id number I could find not to mention joining clubs in the process we finally have an affordable car for our trip in Aug. Ended up with National Emeral Isle picking up at WDW and return to MCO, full-size car $183.22 by using the Entertainment Book coupon available at Mousesavers. Actually we saved some by picking up at WDW and not MCO, eliminated some taxes that way.

I know what you mean! I never knew there were so many tricks to renting cars until I found the Boards. To imagine that I used to rely on Orbitz or Travelocity to give me a rate and have it set without a chance to change it with the fluctuating rates...

I have to say that it's a somewhat addictive process, too...I am constantly getting online and punching in my codes to see if I can save a few dollars. But the thrill of the rate going down, even by a few dollars, makes it all worth it!
