Hi all,
arriving end of June 06 and thinking of a convertible for 3 weeks,
have read ones for and ones against them, there are 2 adults and a child, and do not really contemplate driving much throughout the day if at all, mostly evenings,as we are staying in Universal and disney, anyone got any opinions on this? [stupid question]

..... it depends on how much luggage you have! I did the same thing for a weeks stay and ex-dh had golf clubs, his suitcase and my large suitcase plus a couple of smaller bags. We had to place my suitcase in the backseat next to my daughter with the top down - not a big deal, until we had to go back to the airport and it was RAINING! Poor dd had to sit on my suitcase for the trek to the airport and needless to say the seatbelt did not fit around them both. I was completely stressed out the entire trip. Otherwise, it was great!

As someone who has a convertible and loves it, there are a few things to think about.

1. Unless it is a bigger car, trunk space is limited. If you can pack light, you could be okay.

2. If you're not used to the strong sun and very hot and humid weather, (as it will be in June) you may not get to put the top down very often.

3. Do not leave the top down when you're not driving it. Thunderstorms crop up quickly that time of year and you don't want to get caught!

4. If you're like me and love dropping the top and the top two things don't bother you, go for it and have fun!
