Car rental shuttle question

Am going to rent a car for one day from Alamo @ car are center...I understand they will pick you up at your resort and bring you to pick up the car. We are planning to return the car after they are closed (which is 4pm) how do we get back to our resort then? Also, we are staying at POR...is it easier to rent from the place across the street from DTD since we can take the boat from our resort to DTD? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The Alamo desk at the CCC closes at 8:00pm M-F and 6:00 pm S/S.
They will pick you up at you resort and return you there after returning the car, call the day before to schedule your pick up time.

What is the CCC? I am trying to arrange car rental for part of our trip in Dec but don't know what is the best place to go. I don't have a brand, I am still looking/trying to decide if the car is the way to go or just deal with the busses. Ack!

The "CCC" is Car Care Center. It is one of Alamo/National's sites located on DIsney property (the other is the desk at the Dolphin). The CCC is on Car Care Dr--across from Petty Racing Experience on the "outbound" from MK. Just Google map MK and you can see it.

I found Alamo has the best deal I can find for our April trip, picking up at the CCC and dropping off at MCO.
