Car Rental Savers.com?

Has anyone ever rented a car using carrentalsavers.com? We need to rent a car during spring break and were getting quotes of $1,100! We need an SUV or minivan as we have three kids, two needing car seats. I found carrentalsavers.com and got a quote for $600 from Thrifty. Of course, when I go to Thrifty's site, I got a quote for about $1,000. I would love to book using this website, given that I will save $400-$500, but because it is such a steep discount, it makes me nervous.

Anyone with any insight? Thanks!

I read some good things about them here on the DIS. I compared and saw some pretty good savings, but then saved far more by bidding on Priceline.

There was an article in the newspaper last week about high car rental rates. Seems the companies have decided they need more profits and jacked up the rates hoping some of us will be dumb enough to pay it.

I had a very bad experience with carrentalsavers.com/Thrifty but the problem was more with Thrifty- added fees even when I showed my confirmation email, long wait at counter, poor customer service.
