car rental returns close to port?

Are there any car rental companies that allow one-way rentals with a drop off near the port?

Yes, Avis has a drop off location at the Radisson at Port Canaveral, rental location code P3F. It's a mile or so from the port and they have a free shuttle.

We used Avis just last month....it was super easy and fairly convenient. Would def. do again........and look for a discount code on www.mousesavers.com Our family of 3 got a midsize car from the airport to the port for about $45 one way. It also gave us the freedom to see other things.....like visit Shirley from the Perfect Gift, and look for the manatees.

We've booked a mini-van with National for after our cruise. How far is it from the port? and what's the easiest way to get there??

Pal2Pluto, did you see any manatees? We leave Saturday and I was going to go looking in Shirley's suggested spot.

We went to 2 places......first where Shirley suggested. We slapped the water, and waited about 20 mins. We didn't see anything there, so we went up to a boardwalk behind the Radisson that the girl at Avis recommended. From the boardwalk, we saw 4 of them surface to breath quite a ways off shore...they were heading north, and obviously on the move. We dropped by Shirley's shop and met her and Norm (great people, a highly recommended visit). She had said that they almost always see them at the first place...............so back we went to the first place........after another 15 mins. we called it quits...........my dd (11) was bored

As mentioned in my car rental option summary (www.dcltribute.com/carhire), National is about 7 miles from the terminal. You'll need to hire a taxi.
