Car rental rates for April 2011

I would love to know too! We are going from the 16th - 23rd - maybe the prices that I am finding are higher because it is Sat - Sat?
Kari

Not sure if you are a BJ's member, but rates that week are $170 compact or $185 for midsize.

April 3-6, Dollar Lock Low & Go for around $130 including tax. Glad I booked when I did, it seems the prices have skyrocketed since then.

im renting from budget went through carrentalsavers.

from april2-may2 total cost is $675.84 for a full size

i got the entertainment book and looked at costco and tons of other places this is the cheapest I could find for a month long rental.

i have alamo insiders but it is $115 more to rent from them for same time frame and everyone else is a little more or same price as alamo.

We are looking at rental cars for our trip in November from about an hour north of Houston to Orlando. I drive a large pickup and really dont want to fill up the thing for our trip! When we looked at rental cars they saved us tons, BUT it says that it charges .20 cents per mile extra over 150 miles. This was through enterprise, which is our only option around here! We have always had excellent service with them, weve just never taken a rental vehicle out of state before. Does anyone know if this actually applies or has anyone actually had to pay for it before?

Thanks!

Enterprise has several different rental plans. Im sure they have a plan that gives you unlimited miles, but Im sure it will cost more. Just ask them

Just thought I'd add - our $187 intermediate 4/13-20 rental from Enterprise on carrentalsavers.com went up to $345 - boy am I glad I reserved last week. So wierd how quickly and drastically it car rentals change!

National Emerald Isle (minimum Mid size), April 5-April 10, $175 all taxes and fees. It seems I waited too long PLUS we're not used to traveling at peak times so this left me in a sweat. Ultimately, I used an amex code from carrentalsavers 5125601 plus our Emerald Isle membership plus a coupon code for $35.00 ND8578ADT (another carrentalsavers tip). I'll look for better but can swallow this if needed! :3dglasses

Looks like there is finally some movement. I was checking for a friend who is arriving on April 29th for a week. So far the base rate has been crazy high. Today it's a little more reasonable....while not cheap like we've seen in past years, at least with the code and coupon, it is now affordable. This was on National, using the Con. FF code: 5007160 and the $35 coupon ND8578ADT, the price is much better than the last few weeks. Good luck.

Just placed a ressie for ford Escape or similar for $272 (2 day only 4/19 - 4/20) tax and fees included. seems very expensive! but that is the cheapest I have found so far :confused3
Still looking.......
