Car rental question

When trying to rent a car from a Monday to Saturday (in jacksonville) I got a rate of about $400 for a full size. If I put in to return Sunday instead of Saturday, the rate drops to $224. The conditions say must rent a minimum of 5 days, which i am. Does anyone know what will happen if I rent at the weekly rate and return it a day early?

Your rate will go to the daily rate. Most weekly rates require a Sat. night stay.

You can and probably will be charged the daily rate if you return the car early.

Thanks for the replies. I have kept trying, and did manage to find a rental company that charged me the weekly rate for my actual stay, even with no Saturday night stay.
