Car rental question if your flight is changed

I have a car rental for pick up at 7 pm, what if I am bumped and don't get out until the next morning, will thay still honor my ressie, how long do they have to hold it at the rate I booked it at? ( I am on the last flight out and I have been told it is overbooked.)

National holds your reservation until midnight, don't worry there will be enough volunteers who want compensation. You shouldn't be bumped (unless you volunteer).

Just call them the day of. This happened to us last year. They actually closed MCO for a short while because of a hurricane. Anyway, I called after our flight was cancelled, explained the situation and they assured me that a car would be available and gave me the new price less the one day.
