We are going to be in Orlando for 6 days before our cruise and my original plan was to rent a car at the airport and then spend the 6 days in Orlando and drive to Port Canaveral and drop off the car.
We're doing LEGOLAND, Discovery Cove, SeaWorld, Aquatica, Universal and downtown Disney. We're booked at the Residence Inn SeaWorld but are now thinking of moving to a Universal hotel for part of it and we're wondering what our options are if we don't rent a vehicle.
Our thinking is that while we are at DC, SW and Aquatica we won't need a vehicle except the one evening we're planning on going to Downtown Disney. Also the days we are at US we won't need a car so it's mainly just to go from hotel to hotel and it seems like a cab would be much cheaper.
Is there a way to get to LEGOLAND besides a rental vehicle? Are there shuttles from either US or Seaworld hotels to Downtown Disney? Is there anywhere within walking distance from Residence Inn SeaWorld to get a few groceries/snacks?
I can't seem to find any rentals for less than $400-$500 for the week and that doesn't include gas, tolls and parking and aside from a few specific things I'm not sure how much we'd end up needing it.
