Okay....we are less than 2 weeks away and have decided that a rental car is the way to go....now the options. We are staying @ POP. We are arrving on a Sat @ 9:30am and depart Sat at 8:20 a.m.

1) hertz@ mco for $250 free car seat AAA member
2) Alamo @mco $208 bring a seat
3) Alamo @ car care center 1 day less using DME $168 smaller car using DME and bringing a car seat.
4) Hotwire @ MCO $179 bring a seat
5) Priceline @ MCO ??$160?? bring a seat

I have never used Priceline or Hotwire. (I really don't want to take a shuttle to get a car and want a major co..) I have heard to many conflicting reports on DME being and not being a luggage del. service so if I rent @ MCO I need an intermediate or larger.

Any personal experiences would be grtly appreciated.

See your other thread for why I suggest door #2. :) We're at the point where I don't even bother pricing out other agencies because my experience with Alamo and National has been so good and their kiosk process is so quick and painless, plus I love choosing my own car instead of being assigned one.

Great deal thru Budget....$216 total for a premium and have a coupon for $25 off . Grand total of $191. I think this is a pretty sweet deal for a Grand Marquis or a Buick Lucerne for the week.

How old is your child?

I'd suggest bringing your own car seat because then you don't have to worry about the quality of a rental seat and you should already know how to install it.

I'd probably rent Budget or Alamo at the airport. I honestly can't remember which agency we used last summer at MCO (but it was definately one of the two and it was seamless).

I would say choice 2 or 4. We've always had good luck with Alamo but their prices for my trips recently have not been great.
Last December I tried Priceline and got a great deal I thought. It actually ended up being Avis and again it was painless and easy.

I would strongly suggest bringing your own car seat. I've seen those rental car seats and if you can bring yours without too much trouble I'd go that route.

Honestly, I don't think $168 for the rental and still using DME is worth it. I'd pay the $20 extra and just get in the car at the airport and go!
