car rental on property, Who & Where & When?

Hi, We are staying at SSR and my DH would like to rent a car for a day or two so we can look at property in the area. Do any of the on site Hotels have Rental Cars available or will we need to go off property to do this. What companies are available? Also if there a better day during the week or weekend when rates are cheaper? I know I will be checking rates & codes on Mousesaver but didn't know where to begin. Thanks, Gina

There is Alamo/National at the Dolphin, Alamo at the Car Care Center over by MK, but that's about it for 'on-site'. Now, if I were you, I would head to DTD, and walk over to the DTD hotels, across the street from DTD. There is a Budget at the Doubletree, and some other car rental offices at the other hotels. I believe they may even have shuttle service to get you to their office.

Wyndham Palace has Alamo it is real close to DTD. Close to the Market place Bus Stop. Alamo is at the Car Care Center. Alamo/Nation is at Swan & Dolphin. Just check out the renatl cars web sites.

Yes, technically they are 'on-site'. But for the most part, when people ask about on-site car rental offices, they tend to not think of the DTD hotels as being on-site. Just trying to be 'user friendly' so to speak.
