Car rental for Disneyland?

You all seem to know so much, but it seems like you're rates and codes are for Orlando. Does anyone have any experience for renting a car for DLR? It's all so overwhemling!! And there's just not too much traffic on the DLR threads, so I thought I might ask here in case anyone has any ideas or advice.

We are flying through Burbank July 30-August 4 and need about a mid size car.

If you know anything helpful, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

You see not much traffic on DL threads? That's odd. Did you ask this there?

The codes will work or not work at any location. Depends on the code. Check them all out. Burbank is a small place though so you're less likely to get great deals than out of much bigger market like LAX. IMO.

The other part of the equation is where you are returning it. We don't know your plans so it makes it hard to guess at that.

If you're only going to visit the Disneyland resort, you won't need a car. (You'd just need transportation to your hotel.) If you're going to other sites in the LA area, then, yes you'll need to drive.

Post over on the Disneyland board. You'll probably get some responses there. Look for deals thru Costco, living social or AAA.

Thank you! I did post on the DLR board and got a couple ideas I had already tried, just wondered if anyone here had another idea or two. If no one does, that's ok, it was worth a try.

We're not staying at DLR, just visiting it, so we definitely need a car. And as I stated earlier, we're traveling through Burbank on July 30 and also on August 4. (So sorry if my wording wasn't clear on the dates. )

We always fly to LAX so no experience with Burbank, sorry. However we generally get the best rate 2-4 months before we travel. A few times we have gotten "last minute" specials but not very often. For our trip in September the rates for a mid-size through Dollar using AAA discount are about $32 a day. However using your dates the cost with the same code is about $63 per day. Maybe keep checking Car Rental Savers, they run a search as well have each rental company with all their codes listed. Also MouseSavers in the Car Rental section sometimes has pretty good codes to use.
