I am looking for a mini van the week of 7/16. I am always able to find great rates for others. None seem to be available right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are all in the same boat. THe really good rates seem to have disappeared. I booked my car for my mid-Aug trip back in March. Glad I did...I'm paying $258 for a compact for 9 days. Now, I can't find anything that's less than $350 for the exact same thing!!

I got a great deal from Alamo. If you have VISA card try using ID#7013310 and coupon code AD1462JOO. If you go to www.visa.com you can print out the offer to take with you. I got a minivan for two weeks in August for $431 including all taxes and fees.

I found a mini van in April, (spring break) for $200 per week while other prices were $ 350 - $450. I will keep searching.

You can also check mousesavers for a variety of coupon codes at different car vendors. National has a VISA code for 20% off and 1 free day on a rental of 5 days or more. You have to use your Visa card to pay and contract ID 5007853 and coupon id NF1256OOM. Valid 5/1/07-10/31/07

I saw a deal with Thrifty using amer exp on rental vans today- give it a try! It was a FL special on Thrifty's home page
