But I have to ask - are these to be used freely by ANYone - or will people be asked WHERE they got these codes? We wouldn't want anyone to be shut out by asking for something that they were not entitled to!

I tried the Alamo site and entered the ID/RATE/COUPON code and then when it brought up my rate it said i have to have an actual coupon to turn it at the counter? It has the cheapest rate even with out the coupon..( i will be needing it 2 weeks - DEc 1-15 - in Tampa) Thanks Michelle

Maybe you can help--I made ressies awhile ago on National's website and got a great price using my DC membership & an insert from UA for $20.00 off--now, when I try to make a new ressie (to check prices) it will only give me a discount for one or the other--not both. What's up with that? I do have a printed copy of my original ressie & email confirmation--so, I hoping that they won't give me trouble when I pick up the car in Nov.--what do you think?? Thanks!

I almost always rent from Dollar- I have used KISS, FVG and today I got from dollar this code USA1, Also remember even after you make your reservation keep checking back you never know when the rates might drop maybe for a day or two. I saved $55 on a week rental by checking.

The National coupons listed are both Entertainment Book ones and will need to be presented at the counter. Not sure about the others.

I got a great rate through National for a full size car using coupon# 10005317 and contract id# 5450190 .... I got these codes from travelcouponsonline.com. I am paying $146.14 for 12/2-12/9. That is better than my corporate rate through Enterprise.

For Avis AWD# b790000 listed above, this gives a very nice rate. However, we need 2 cars at 2 seperate rental times [driving to and from the port], so a total of 4 coupons would be required if they are needed. Can anyone tell me where this code is from and confirm that a coupon would not be needed?Thanks

Can those discount codes be used after you have booked or do they need to be used at time of booking???? Thanks

Regarding the Entertainment Book Avis discounts...

Does anyone know how to handle booking the Avis discounts online? The online screen shows a spot for the AWD #, but not the coupon number. How will the system know you are booking, lets say, the double upgrade, coupon? The AWD # is the same for all the Avis coupons in the Entertainment book and then they have individual coupon numbers for the specific deals (free weekend day, double upgrade, etc). Does this make any sense? Help!! I really need to book with Avis for this next trip since we are driving down from WDW to Miami to take a cruise and they're at the port in Miami.

there is a box called "coupon number" in the "Rate Information" section of the Avis online reservation screen ....this is where the coupon code would go....you get to this screen by clicking on "rates/reservations"

by the way they have "changed" the Avis website within the last couple of weeks...

previously, you had to make the reservation first and then go back and add the coupon code.....

once you sent this to them, they would reply back with a email telling you whether or not the particular coupon would work with the current reservation

Thanks for the help on the Avis site. It DID change since the last time I tried looking at their rates. I made my reservations however when the confirmation page appeared, I see my AWD number but no coupon number was anywhere on the page. If I'm reading these posts right, I should wait and see if Avis contacts me to see if this coupon will be honored? And by the way...wow are the Avis rates high! One day rental from the Miami port back to Orlando...$48.00! Ouch! Wish I knew of another rental company at/near the port thats more reasonable.

Ok...here's another question. Does anyone know if you can combine rate code USA with the entertainment book coupon for the double upgrade? Do you have to show anything for the USA rate code? Thanks again!
