Car Rental Deals-The Best

Hi,
I am trying to find the best available rental car rate for my dis trip in Feb. I am on Long Island and teh best rates thus far have been for a mini van with tax no insurance is needed as our insurance crosses over to the vehicle are as follows:
Avis 767.00
Budget 770.00
Hertz 801.00
National 610.00 (however they are a 30 minute drive from us and dh will not go..he is nuts!)

Hertz is closest and will match Avis price but not Nationals price they said it is too much of a difference..so anyone know of any sites to go to? I have done AAA,ENT Book.Costco,Bjs and all teh Mousesaver codes already..

If you go to the TRANSPORTATION board there are constantly postings of codes and discounts on car rentals. I found one there and got a great deal (but just on a basic car, not van) for our upcoming trip.

Wow those rates are insane. I just checked on Dollars website for all 4 weeks in February and was coming up with a full size car for 252.00 a week.
Why don't you try looking on over there.
This is without using any codes.

That is crazy....are you going for the month? I use priceline. Day or two before I leave, I bid $22.00 on a minivan. I have only not gotten one once and it was a holiday time. I would never spend that price!! Other option, use magical express and rent at the Swan/Dolphin or have Enterprize come to you.

I know there are a lot of people who are fearful of Priceline.com, but I've used it many times for car rentals (and mini vans) and have always found it to be the best price. I've never been disappointed with the service either.
