I'm in the beginning stages of planning our trip to Aulani so I've been reading all the threads and jotting down some notesWhat I read here on the boards is there is an Alamo rental car counter right in Aulani and the code is HNLR72. I'll see if I can find the link to the actual post so the original poster gets credit.
ETA: Here is the link to where I found the information http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2734078
We got a SUV via Travelocity for 220.00 for a week in March. Much cheaper than I could find anywhere else.
Went with hotwire and rented a Standard car for $190 for December 3-10. First I tried with Alamo using my AP discount and it would have been almost $350. So I'm gonna agree with carlbarry about checking the sites he listed. Just a thought.
Good rate!I went to look on my dates in November and it's $40 cheaper than what I've booked through National Emerald. But since it was Alamo, I don't understand how it could be $40 cheaper, aren't they the same car rental company? Anyway, I might make the change when I get closer to the date. But I booked with a free additional driver code, so maybe it's not that much cheaper... I hate to be DD for my birthday celebrations!
This thread is about renting a car at Aulani. As far as I know, there is no Avis location at Aulani. The closest Avis location that I know of is at Honolulu International Airport. Here in our home town we see a big difference between Alamo and National. We're a small enough city where they share the same fleet so its pretty pointless but quite common for them to be quite different in pricing.
BTW our good deal for March through Travelocity was with Avis.
