I'm in the beginning stages of planning our trip to Aulani so I've been reading all the threads and jotting down some notes :) What I read here on the boards is there is an Alamo rental car counter right in Aulani and the code is HNLR72. I'll see if I can find the link to the actual post so the original poster gets credit.

ETA: Here is the link to where I found the information http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2734078

Went with hotwire and rented a Standard car for $190 for December 3-10. First I tried with Alamo using my AP discount and it would have been almost $350. So I'm gonna agree with carlbarry about checking the sites he listed. Just a thought.

We got a SUV via Travelocity for 220.00 for a week in March. Much cheaper than I could find anywhere else.

The Alamo car rental counter at Aulani is at the Holoholo Tours and Travel activity desk.

Hertz is right next door at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort.

There is not an official, Disney-operated or Disney-endorsed airport shuttle to and from Aulani.

There are companies offering pre-reserved private shuttle service from Honolulu Airport To the Ko Olina Resort (where Aulani is located). I don't know anything about them. I've never used any of them. Here are two examples:

Ko Olina Airport Shuttle: http://www.koolinaairportshuttle.com/

Honolulu Airport Shuttle To Ko Olina: http://koolinaairportshuttle.net/

For most guests, the best option is to rent a car on arrival at Honolulu Airport and to keep it for the entire stay. That takes care of transportation to and from Aulani, as well providing a way to get to various attractions on Oahu while staying at Aulani.

Good rate!:thumbsup2 I went to look on my dates in November and it's $40 cheaper than what I've booked through National Emerald. But since it was Alamo, I don't understand how it could be $40 cheaper, aren't they the same car rental company? Anyway, I might make the change when I get closer to the date. But I booked with a free additional driver code, so maybe it's not that much cheaper... I hate to be DD for my birthday celebrations!

Here in our home town we see a big difference between Alamo and National. We're a small enough city where they share the same fleet so its pretty pointless but quite common for them to be quite different in pricing.

BTW our good deal for March through Travelocity was with Avis.

This thread is about renting a car at Aulani. As far as I know, there is no Avis location at Aulani. The closest Avis location that I know of is at Honolulu International Airport.

Understood but since we'll be coming from the mainland like most others we're going to be flying into the island. Why not get a car from the airport and make the drive over? So yes we're renting a car at HIA and through Travelocity we got a pretty good deal for an SUV for a week. That was the only reason I posted it. But for others the clarification that there is no Avis at Aulani may be needed.
