We have booked a trip for 9/24-10/1. We are staying at WDW through 9/29 and then plan on renting a car and going to the ocean on Thursady and SeaWorld on Friday (maybe change the order). We have a 9:00 am flight on 10/1. My question is what would be everyone's advice on renting a car. Should I head to MCO Thursday mroning and pickup a car and come back and pick up the family? That way on our way back we can drop off the car at the airport? Can I rent a car at WDW and then drop off at airport? Would it cost me more $$$? Would it be better to hit the beach on Friday and SeaWorld on Thursday?

I know have asked way too many questions, but just trying to figure out logistics.

Hi, If you are planning on paying for the transport to the airport I would think that it would be best for just you to go. That way you only have to pay for one shuttle spot.:thumbsup2 Your family would also have more time to get ready and have breakfast. I would think this would be a good BEACH day(if the weather cooperates) since you do not have to be at the beach for a specific opening time. And I would make the next day SeaWorld day and since you already have the car you can get to SeaWorld at opening time. I would think it would be less time consuming on your day of departure to rent the car at the airport. (we ALWAYS do) It takes about 30 mins to get to MCO from WDW plus about 15 mins to drop car off and walk to terminal. So you should leave WDW on 10/1 by 6:15 am at the latest. This should put you at security by 7am(2hours before your flight). My DH usually drops the family and I at the luggage check-in outside and he stays long enough to check in (get boarding pass if needed) and check his baggage. He then takes the car back and we meet at the Starbucks right outside of security. And then proceed thru security together. Start checking prices NOW for the rental but continue to check for lower prices. You can make multiple car reservations just cancel the ones you will not be using. Joan

i think you can rent a car right at the Dolphin and someone once told me Enterprise will deliver a car to you at a Disney resort. Something to look into
