Car Hire

Can anyone tell me what the restrictions are if any on hiring a car in Florida. Do you have to have had a full UK licence for any particular amount of time?

I can answer that as I hope to have passed my test by next March, so I called and I was advised that as long I was over 25 and held a full UK driving liciense it was fine, it didn't have to be for at least a year etc.
