Car hire problem

Ok guys not sure if anyone can help but got a few problems with our car hire

We have booked with almio do I need a credit card as a deposit as I don't have one could I take someone elses or can I use my debit card

Also I have lost my paper licinese but still have my card will that be ok

I am not sure if Alamo will take a debit card, you will certainly not be able to pay on someone elses card if they are not there to sign, I had to initial 3 times and sign the paperwork once. We tried to use a debit card at two different hotels in the time we were there and on both occassions they told me they do not take debit cards.
They will definalty ask to see paper piece of driving licence, they did with me when we arrived earlier this month, I had forgotton to get it out when we arrived at the car hire desk and just gave them the card part and they asked to see it.

get yourself a prepaid card, fairfx is a good one, you pre load it with us dollars, then you can use that, can check balence and top up online, we had photocard and no paper and it was fine, they never asked., i guess it depend son who serves you ?

PP was very lucky not to be asked for paper copy of licence. We have been 7 times in last few years and DH has been asked for paper part of licence on every occasion. If you check their website it tells you that they need to see it. I would send off for a replacement ASAP.

Can't help with the other bit sorry, we always pay for premium cover and just leave CC number.

I'm just going to reorder the paper part as it only costs £20 so might as well I'm getting a card from the post office where you can put dollars on it but surely if they won't accept debit cards then why would they accept this

I have used my debit card on the online checkin, but if they dont accept that i will use my fairfx card.
Fairfx is a pre paid mastercard thats why they would accept that if they didnt accept a debit card.

We used Alamo 2 years ago and Debit Card was fine they didn't question it.

Oh right I'm now slightly confussed lol what do people think will be the best choice as it's very likely i have credit card
