Car Hire Help

We normally use NetFlights and go with Dollar, always had fantastic service and everything has been included (taxes, additional driver, tank of fuel).

Unfortunately Net Flights aren't using Dollar anymore and none of the other sites will let me specifically choose Dollar.

We don't have a credit card and in the past Dollar have swiped our visa debit card but haven't put a hold on any money.

I've been searching the web for car hire and I just haven't a clue anymore

Could someone give us some help please. We only want a compact as its only 2 of us, but I can't use a credit card and am unwilling to give a cash deposit as this will eat into our spending money

Any help you could give, we'd really appreciate

we've always used debit cards to rent cars in the US (as a matter of fact we don't have a credit card, only debit)

as long as it's a major debit card (Visa or Mastercard for example) it should be ok with most rental agencies.

we go through Alamo direct (UK website is 3 times cheaper than the US version) we prepay, and we only need to show our CC (gold mastercard debit) at the desk.
No hold on the card.

I've always got our car via expedia.co.uk

All the comparison prices are there between all the companies including Dollar.

Never had any problems this way and gone through that site numerous times.

Just tried Expedia, but I couldn't see anywhere to add additional drivers

There are some good deals for around the £280-£300 mark, it's just the uncertainty of no credit card or a cash deposit.

We used netflights last year with thifty amd they took our debt card as part of dollar, this yearwe used usrentaar for the thirdtime and that was dollar again debit card (no hold taken on bothtimes as emptyaccount)
