We just reserved a rental home for the week of 8/15 - 8/22. It doesn't have a garage. Well, it has one, but it's been converted to a 'game room'.

Anyways, this means the minivan will be out in the sun on the driveway.

For this time of the year, can we expect the minivan to feel like a sauna on wheels when we get into it?

If so, what kind of measures can one take to help alleviate that?

Thanks for any info and comments!!!

leave the windows cracked just a bit to let the worst heat out. Get a sun shade for the front windshield or at a minimun throw a towel over the steering wheel so it isn't like fire. Open the doors and windows as soon as you get to the car. The car will quickly cool to the outside temperature. Also go start your van about 10 minutes before you are ready to depart your rental home and turn the AC way up and you will be fine.

If you have any child carseats in the vehicle put a little blanket over them to keep the sun off them. Those metal buckles really heat up and take longer to cool off.

Welcome to Florida in the summer ;)
There isn't much you can do besides what the first poster said. Maybe you'll be lucky & there will be a tree over the driveway. Just don't expect to rush out & get inro your car, it's kind of like winter up north. It will need time to cool down.
