Hi all! I need some inspiration. I am finally getting ready to scrapbook my Disney 2004 vacation. As my mother's day gift during that trip, my family purchased me several of those Disney Capture the Magic scrapbook kits (the 4 parks, princesses, & pooh).

Now I am trying to get inspiration on how to use these in the layouts. Has anyone used these kits? If so, are you willing to share the results?

Thanks for your help!

I've really struggled to use these kits, I bought about half a dozen last year. I found that many of the stickers had big borders and such which made them look bad.

Queenie,
I am glad I am not alone in my lack of inspiration. I am finalizing my pages today and will post them for feedback.

By the way, I went to school at the University of Leeds in the mid '80s. I loved it and your city!

I bought a couple of these last year as well and found the same thing with the stickers.

This is one LO I have done using the patterned papers from one of my packs. Looking forward to seeing what you have done. Kxx

Cinderella@CK- I love that page. I was wondering myself what to do with the borders and you had a great idea. I do like the paper in these kits though.

This layout is GREAT! :cheer2:

Do you mind if I scraplift it? My stickers are different, but they would work as borders like that.

I finally think I have figured out the first page (the one with the tree) but I have tried to match every paper in my stash to it and can not come up with anything that looks compatable. I decided to go to my local store with my page to see if I can match something. Ugh! This is becoming much more difficult than it should be!

Scraplift away Susan - I'm made up you'd like to use my idea! :thumbsup2

The yellow strips aren't the borders though - it's just patterned paper. I ran about half a sheet of the patterned paper through my printer and then cut it into strips. Hope that helps.

The sticker borders would be nice if you stuck them down like that thought - good idea. Kxx

Here is another LO using the Capture the Magic papers and some Jolees Destination mexico stickers.

Hmm...my first time posting a link. Actually, one of my first layouts! I used the Kilamajaro Safaris scrap pack I found while staying at the AKL.

Link to my AK Layout

These I did using a few of the papers from the forty paper pack I picked up, also at the AKL gift shop.

The sticker borders on all three were from a four park pack I picked up on my last Disney Cruise. Sorry, these pictures aren't the best.

I'd love feedback on these, as they are the first 12 x 12 pages I've done.

The pages look great. I would suggest turning off your flash when taking pics of pages next time. ;) :thumbsup2

I love them there are great.... but I want a picture holding baby Simba!!!! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :bounce: :bounce:

Ditto. I showed the Simba page to DH and he said that it was really nice.

I may just scraplift it.

Thanks for sharing.

Queenie, I'm finally getting around to posting those layouts I promised!!
I didn't use to many of the papers I think I will use most of them for smaller details. Ignore the white paper on image 5 I don't show my kids faces. It is a WDW photo in front of the Tree of Life. On image 3 the hotel picture is the Animal Kingdom lodge from our room.

I just wanted to know where can you buy these Capture the Magic Kits? I know they are at WDW, but in what stores? I want to be sure to pick a lot up on my vacation in a few weeks. Also, anyone have the price range?
Thanks

You can find them pretty much everywhere in the resorts and the parks but the easiest place is the Wonderful World Of Memories store in Downtown Disney across from the Christmas store. If you have an AP buy everything at World of Disney store, you get a percentage off.

ooh there are some lovely pages on here. I just used some of the stickers from the birthday kit the other day, I very carefully cut the characters out from the borders - it took hours!!!

Can anyone think of any Lion King related stuff at WDW? I bought the kit but can't think of much to scrap with it!

Just the lion king show at AK, or safari pictures, not really lion king but along the same lines.

Also, if you ever go to Disneyland you can use the Lion King paper for the Lion King portion of the Parade of Dreams. :)

I totally forgot about that! We saw that float on the Christmas Show.
Queenie have you been to DLP? Do they have anything for Lion King there?
