On Princess, they call it the "Ultimate ship tour". On Holland, it's called the "Behind the Sea's tour".

Does the Disney Wonder have a "Behind the Scene's tour"? I'm hoping for something more than the kitchen tour.

Don't think so. Unless, of course, you know some one.

We did a backstage tour on our WBTA cruise in 2010. But I don't think it's offered on a regular basis. Or the galley tour, either.

We did a Behind the Fun tour on Carnival, and we loved it. Wish we could do one like it on a DCL ship.

An update....

There's a "art of the theme show tour". Free, no bridge, galley or brig tour. It's about an hour long.

I believe if you are in concierge you can ask for a bridge tour, but it is the captain's assistant that gives it to you. I was to understand that like 1 out of every 50 that ask actually get one. This past April we were on the Wonder to the Bahamas (in concierge) and I asked for a bridge tour (figured what the heck). I got a call later that day from the concierge telling me we had one lined up for 9am the next morning....yeah me! It was an incredible experience to say the least. I am also to understand there are many factors involved (i.e. length of cruise, weather, the relationship between the concierge and captain and of course the captain themselves - some are more open to it than others) but I guess when the cosmic forces all align you will get lucky!

On my first Disney Cruise on the Magic in 2010 one of my friends I was traveling with made arrangements for a bridge tour. The captain gave the tour and it wasn't until later I learned it was a big deal. BTW, none of us where staying in concierge.

The Princess 'Ultimate' Tour is AWESOME! If you're ever on Princess, well worth the fee for experience and gifts.

RCCL has "all access." We just did it in May. Great tour if you like behind the scenes stuff. Pricey and it takes up a huge chunk of a sea day, but worth it.

We loved the Art of the Theme Show Tour W/ Kaitlyn on the fantasy last year!!! We learned a lot of interesting facts!! We can't wait to do it again in 8 weeks :-)

These are great. We did them both on the Wonder and Magic. You get to know lots of tidbits and history of the ship.

Cant wait to do the Fantasy one, and one day in the future, the Dream (since we didn't do this tour our first time around).
