Captains Outfit?

Is the Captain’s outfit worth the money and experience? At 120 dollars it’s pretty high and I want to make sure it lives up to the cost. My son is 6 and is pretty big for his age too. Thanks!

You know, only you can say whether it's "worth it". If you think $120 is a good price for something your child would like, and would wear more than once, then it may be.

It is more quality, not that I can’t afford it and if others have done the experience before.

I don’t want to pay 120 dollars for something that I could purchase for 10 dollars on Amazon. I’ve never been on a Disney cruise before so I don’t know the quality of these experiences. I mean does he just get the outfit. The descriptions are pretty vague and it’s only 30 minutes.

I don't know specifically about the outfit onboard, but, generally, I've seen most people suggest that special outfits should be purchased before the cruise (at least relating to the princess dresses).

I'm not sure about the captain's outfit, but we brought our own Captain Jack Sparrow costumes ($10 on Amazon) for pirate night, and they were IDENTICAL to the ones they were selling on the ship in the $100+ package. So yeah, I think it is probably a pretty hefty upcharge.

OP, are you talking about the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique experience? If so, they sell the same costume in the stores onboard without the experience for less money. I personally can't see the value for a boy (disclaimer...I have not seen what they do for the Captains Pkg other than the costume). Pirates League they do pirate make up but do they do make-up for the Captain's experience? I can see the BBB for girls as they do make-up, hair, dress, and fawn all over them.

The Captain Mickey one. I went ahead and canceled since it really isn't much. He has pirate stuff already, but the BBB just seemed overpriced for a boy when I started thinking about it more. He seemed happier that he gets to bring his pirate stuff from home. I am glad they sell everything at the store so if he does see a dress up item we don't have to go to the experience to get one. Thanks!

Ill be on the Magic next Saturday 11/10 and can check prices of the Captains Outfit. I'll try to get a pic as well.
