Hi. We have ADR's at Yachtsman Steakhouse on the night we arrive, August 15th. Our free dining begins the next day, so that will be OOP. I am thinking about switching to the Captain's Grille instead, the menu looks good and more reasonably priced.

We have to be at the Yachtclub Marina that evening to catch a boat so I figured we might as well eat nearby. I did consider Beaches and Cream, but am afraid the wait will be too long.

Does anyone have any good/bad experiences with the Captain's Grille? Also, is it possible to order an item from the lunch menu at dinner time? I love lobster rolls, but it is only on the lunch menu.

Thanks for any info!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard good things about it from other people however the one time I went (which was for lunch) I did not enjoy it. I got a soup and sandwich of some time and I just thought the food tasted bad. That is more of a personal opinion thing though. The service was good.

We did a last minute swap from the Yachtsman to Captain's Grille in Dec and we were very pleased with our choice. We found the service prompt, but not pushy. The food was quite good, and the atmosphere comfortable. Over all, it was one of our better meals of the trip.....

I liked eating lunch here in 2007. It was quiet and the service was good, I liked my food- it was nothing spectacular but I would definitely eat there again... I just have so many other restaurants to eat at that I haven't tried yet.

We ate here last August the food was great. The service was great. Would definately go back here again no ?.:thumbsup2

I have been to Captain's Grille several times over the last few years. The food has been quite good, with prompt and efficient service. It is not a terribly exciting place, but is a nice meal.

Well, I went ahead and changed from Yachtsman Steakhouse to the Captain's Grille. I am hoping for the best! :)

Both meals I have had at the Captains Grill have been wonderful. I have been told that it shares a kitchen with Yachtman Steakhouse, same food, less money....

The Captain's Grille is good a typical table service restaurant - the Yachtsman Steakhouse is a Signature restaurant - with hand cut steaks daily and a more refined dining experience. It depends on what type of dining experience you prefer - all of my family special occasion dinners are always at the Yachtsman - for the atmosphere, food quality and service.

They do have separate kitchens they don't share the same - you can see the whole Yachtman team cooking as you walk into the restaurant.

Enjoy your trip!
