Captain's Grille?

Reviews on the Captain's Grille anyone?

We are going back to WDW in August with DXDDP again so we want to try new restaurants. How is the Captain's Grille? Sounds good but have not noticed much mention of this restaurant before. Any advice?

The best pork chop I ever had in my life was from CG...the rolls, the salad...it was all fantastic and nice and quiet atmosphere

Yes, the Captain's Grille really is an overlooked gem. We go almost every trip (usually on the night we are going to see Fantasmic, as we really don't love any of the dining options in DHS) and have never had anything but great food and friendly service.

I too am a faithful fan of their pork chops, and their steak/prime rib options are great too.

The place is never crowded and is quiet by default, not because there is any pressure to be quiet - that is to say, it is not a 'stuffy' or highly formal atmosphere. It's just quiet because there aren't many people in there
