Thinking of a last morning breakfast for 4 adults before we drive home to SC. Have never eaten breakfast at either of these before and wanted to visit BW area before we leave.

Bottom line, are they good?:confused3

I've only eaten at Spoodles a couple of times (on our departure day before leaving). We never had trouble getting a table and I thought the food was good and plentiful. You can get things such as breakfast flatbreads, traditional waffles or combination breakfasts with meat/eggs/etc.

Our service was hit or miss. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good.

It's a good alternative for a quiet, leisurely breakfast.

We did the captains grille breakfast buffet twice this month. It was really good and everything was fresh. You could also order off the menu if you wanted and were not interested in the buffet. They had alot of choices. You can see the menu at allerasnet.com

Some of the buffet items were: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mickey waffles, mini blueberry muffins, danish, one day was cheese and apple, one day cherry, panckaes (only thing I did not care for), mickey waffles, salmon, some baked tomatoe thing, oatmeal, fresh fruit, (cantelope, honeydew, grapes, strawberries, watermelon),breakfast potatoes with onions and peppers, etc.

The service was good. We had about a 15-20 min,. wait the lst time. The 2nd time we had already made an adr with the front desk concierge for around 9:30 am. and were seated pretty promptly.

We ate breakfast at both when we were there a few weeks ago. Both were good, but we preferred Captain's Grille. There usually was a little bit of a wait (10-15 min) for Captain's Grille and Spoodles we walked right in.

Spoodles has gone downhill - Captain's Grille is superior in every way.

That said, I'd prefer the crowds stick with Spoodles so I won't have a wait at Captain's Grille during my stays ;)

Neither...DH and I have done the menu and the buffet breakfast at CG and didnt like it and Spoodles was just terrible...awful food!

I would go to Cape May...or drive to Boma for the most amazing breakfast ever

WE have done both. This past May we did Captains Grill and the best things were the menu items-pancakes, etc. The buffet was not that great, but we have been comparing it to buffets at Cape May, Crystal Palace, etc and it doesn't come close to those. The menu items were very good though.

Spoodles we did a couple times for breakfast when staying at the BW. It was good, no complaints. It is especially a good breakfast to have if you are doing Epcot or DHS. You walk out and the boat is right there. Also we were in and out very quickly. We had good service at both places.
