Captain EO is coming back

I heard on the radio today that "Captain EO" with Michael Jackson will be brought back indefinitely as the Imagination 3D movie. "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" was getting old and anything Michael Jackson seems to be hot right now.

I think mid-80's to 1994 EO was shown in Epcot.

YES - I saw it!!! I was recently thinking about "that MJ show at Epcot I saw" - Captain EO - that was it. I remember it being pretty cool (for its time).

I saw it too. It was actually where the HISTA is now in the Imagination Pavilion. My Dad made us watch that movie anytime we were in Epcot. He isn't a Michael Jackson fan at all but he just loved the whole 3-D affect, and I guess he did like the music to the movie just not his usual stuff. It would be nice to see a blast from the past attraction and get rid of HISTA....that is one attraction that I cannot stand in all of WDW (well behind Stitch).

I hope they add it to Epcot and keep it for a while, I am really tired of HISTA, it's my least favorite of the 3D shows at WDW.

I just assumed that since I heard about it on a local radio station here in Florida they were talking about WDW and never considered Disneyland. Captain EO was in Epcot for quite a few years until it was replaced by HISTA about the time Jackson fell from grace.

Awww I would love it if they brought it to Epcot, its one thing I've always wanted to see and they stopped showing it when my husband and I started vacationing with the Mouse. It would be great to see MJ!

Ah, rats! I was hoping they would bring it back. It never should have been taken out. It was amazing. Some people say it is outdated now, but the theme, the singing, the dancing, was awesome. We still talk about it and watched it a few years ago on TV when they showed it. It was still good even without the 3D and it made us remember why we would go see it more than once each trip.
I hope they reconsider and do bring it back. Geesh we are getting the Electrical Parade back which is totally outdated so why not this in an anniversary year for WDW.

If it does make it back, I'm sure they won't force anyone to watch the show.
