Captain EO Closing Date?

I'm going down to Disney World from March 10th to the 15th and was wondering if Captain EO will be still be at Epcot.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I even went on a Web search to find it out and didn't find anything. We missed EO last year and would love to catch it this year if it was still around. I haven't seen it since I was a teenager.

I got excited when I saw the title, I thought the madness was finally going to end.

Unfortunately if one of the big 2 at Epcot go down for a lengthy refurb (like the rumored Test Track refurb) I'd expect them to keep Crapton EO running while it's down, kinda like DHS opened up Sounds Dangerous as a consolation prize for visitors when TSM was down.

You all want HISTA back???? Either EO stays until Disney has some other 3D movie to show there or make the area into some totally new attraction but the latter would take years to do.

I don't think anyone is calling for the return of HISTA. But a lot of us, especially the ones who endured EO on its first run YEARS AGO, are anxious to see it replaced with just about anything else.

I am glad it is going to open next week so my husband can finally see it. He just missed it on his first WDW, our honeymoon. I saw it in the 80's. I won't mind seeing it one last time but yes it is time for something new.

Did Journey to Imagination close? I read somewhere it was closing but wasn't sure if there was a date. Kodak dropped their sponsorship and I heard they are about to file bankruptcy so they will not be involved in any replacement.

My first trip to WDW was in 1994 so I didn't see Captain EO the first time. I enjoyed it, I think it was MJ at his best, before he ruined himself.

I was so psyched to do Eo when we went last September. Going back at the end of the month and we're dying to do it again, at least 5 times, more if I have my way. Glad it's around for awhile, though I doubt it'll be there too much longer.
