Day 15 - May 20th - Final day!!
Woke up this morning rather excited , may sound odd but I was ready to go home and plus we had an ADR at Bomas!! wooohooo!! First time in a Disney hotel!! Lol. We checked out of the Hotel room for about 7am - even though we had until 11am - we just wanted to go. Arrived at free-time check-in with TCD for 7.20am and was out of there by half past! Excellent service, going to do it next May. We now had half an hour to get to Animal Kingdom Lodge - which wasnt a problem. We drove back the way we come so we went past the hotel for one last final time - bye bye hotel! When we got to AKL - we showed the lady at the security fence our ADR slip and she gave us a pass. Nice lady I might add. We parked and I think we were all shocked - it was like nothing wed seen before!! Lol - this huge beautiful hotel, and we were going in it! Even if it was just for breakfast!! As we had a few mins to spare we went for a wander outside to see the animals - wow! It was fantastic out there. 8am approached and breakfast time, Id heard a lot about this place - and was eagerly awaiting it. We had to wait a few mins with one of those bleeper thingies lol. Eventually we were seated - and that was it - time for a Disney breakfast buffet yahooooooooooooooooooo. I really didnt know what to have it looked all so nice - to be honest I felt out of place here lol - was very posh!! Ha ha. The food was the best I had in Florida. One thing I did enjoy though was the sausages!!!!!! OMG!! Nicest sausages Ive ever had in my life - even though Im not vegetarian anymore I still dont eat sausages - but these just looked sooooooo good I couldnt leave them - so I had 2 big fat ones. MMMMMMMM they were so nice! Spicy. After the breakfast - which made my entire holiday (sad huh?) We made our way out of the hotel and got in the car - the plan was to go to MK - so thats what we did , got there just after opening , it was really quiet. Went on the mountains again (apart from space mountain , I havent been on that yet , thats for next year). Eventually the time ticked on and it was coming up to around 1pm and thought it was time to say goodbye. Which we did - the nice man on the ferry gave us some stickers to take home with us HAHA. We left WDW which was rather sad - but then again it wasnt I knew I would be back in under a year!!! As the food in Sanford airport wasnt so good last year - we decided to grab a bite to eat on the way to the airport - we chose Wendys for our final meal - I had a square burger (they make me laugh lol) , fries, Cola and a jacket spud with sour cream! All very nice - loved Wendys throughout the whole holiday. Left there now and it was time - it had finally come - home time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we followed the directions we had been given to get to the airport and set off - took us about an hour. Dropped off the dollar rent a car and went into the terminal. Security waiting was about 10mins. None of us got stopped - thank god lol. (would be so embarrassed). Soon as we got up to the departure lounge - we went to the smoking terrace (for a look lol not to smoke he he) saw some planes - not ours , it hadnt landed yet - we had hours until it did!! Next stop was to check -in at the guest house - and guess what the first thing I did was? Go on the net HA HA - we were in there a total of about 6hrs - so definitely worth the money! I was watching the arrivals board for our plane coming in from Manchester - it landed on time , I went back to the smoking terrace to see it land - wish my camera was working!! Now that had landed - our flight came up on the screen as departing on time at quarter to 9 to night - so a while yet!! Time dragged on flights departed and the guest house emptied. Finally our flight was called and we boarded at 8 oclock. We were one of the first to board. I sat by the window and to my left I noticed something - TCD plane TF-AMJ - in its new colour scheme - it got painted whilst I was in FL so I didnt know - was such a lovely surprise! Lol. It taxied past us and went to the runway .As our flight was still being boarded. Our of nowhere The flight which had gone to the runway came back to the terminal - it hadnt taken off. They unloaded all of the passengers - cut story short - them passengers got home back to England 26 hrs later!!!!! Jeeeeez. Clearance for take-off was approved and we were homeward bound at 9pm - 15minutes late taking off - think I could claim compo of TCD? LOL. The flight was smooth with a bit of turbulence. Cant remember what the evening meal was lol. Some pics..the camera decided to work half way home!!
