We were also on the EBPC last August/September 2016, and I also remember him saying that he would not be doing the Panama Canal presentations for Disney any longer. I felt very lucky to have had him on that cruise. I was even wondering if there was a way for future cruises to have him via video presentation, but of course the New Locks will be an entirely different presentation. We were on the EBPC cruise August 2016 before the Wonder went into dry dock, and we enjoyed Capt Puckett's seminars. I vaguely remember him saying he was no longer going to do the Panama Canal presentations.
Did you experience any PC cruises previously to compare/contrast the two presenters? Not judging your comments, just wondering about your context. We were on the EBPC a number of years ago and the presentation was more academic even then, so trying to ascertain if the statement is more about the material and presentation or a direct comparison of the presenters.Since this just popped up, I’ll say that he was not on the WBPC this year. We had Dr Richard Costanza. I enjoyed his Panama presentations and I know he ended up volunteering to do several others once we were unable to get more entertainers on board. Several others found Dr C to be rather dry, but I would say he is clearly and academic and did his presentations like that too. Much more about the education than the entertainment value. I enjoyed it but could definitely see how it would not appeal to everyone.
No, this was my first PC. I was just trying to characterize the presenter in general by indicating his demeanor and content. I read Captain Puckett’s book and, based on his writing style, assumed his presentations would have been a little more personal and not so analytical. Dr C was excellent, but he had no clear personal relationship to the content. Much more like my history professor in college teaching about the scientific revolution.Did you experience any PC cruises previously to compare/contrast the two presenters?
