Capt Marvins VS Capt Bryans

Help...I just recently realized these are 2 different Captains!! I have emailed both for more info and they both sound great. Anyone have a preference or use both to compare. Looks like Capt Bryan's has Trimaran and Catamaran types, Marvins only has the cabin cruisers and DCL uses a Deluxe Double Decker Catamaran. Are any of these better or funner than others? Also like the ones who will take prof. videos and/or pics. I also looked into DCL for the Stingray City Excursion but not crazy about the 2 times they offer....7:30 am or 1pm....Would love to hear anyone's experiences w/ these.

We used Captain Marvin on our honeymoon in 1997 when we stayed at Cayman Islands. The experience was truly wonderful. They make three stops, which were all quite awsome. When we go on the Magic next year, we are going to book it privately through them. We cannot wait to let our children who will be DD5 and DS4 when we go experience this. They watch the video we purchased from them all the time. I do not know about the other Captain, but Captin Marvin was great.

So Capt Marvin did have a video they took of your group? When I asked them to confirm this they gave me an email of the person who does it for them saying that I have to check dates w/ the photographer as that person doesn't do it all the time.

Yes, there was a videographer on our boat. We were told when we arrived at Captain Marvin's to let him know if we were interested in purchasing the video before we start the trip so he can make sure you are in the video a lot. We did not realize how totaly wonderful the experience was going to be, so failed to let the videographer know. A few days later, we walked to Captain Marvin's shop from our hotel and we asked to see it--it came out wonderful so we purchsed it. One family was in the video constantly since they know before hand they were going to buy it and told the videographer. So let them knew beforehand that you are going to buy it. We are still in it a lot, but not as much as we could of been. Our kids get a kick out of seeing it even though I am not sure they are 100% certain that it is me--back to back babies did my figure in!!!

When we were on Capt Marvin's last November the showed us the video on our way back from Stingray City. It gave us a chance to preview before buying it. We did get it and it arrived at our home in less than a week.

I must say this was one of the most enjoyable activities that I have ever done!

Captain Bryans is great too, we really enjoyed the trip one the Catamaran.

I've done stingray city numerous times as we used to own a timeshare in Grand Cayman. I think that most of the operators are great it just depends what you are looking for.

On the Catamaran, you get to sail as well as enjoy the snorkeling and stingray city part of the trip, the Catamaran is huge and you can stretch out and relax. If you are in a hurry, go on a motor boat but I like the slower pace of the Catamaran sailing trips.

BTW, Captain Bryans has a video too but we didn't get it as we have our own digital video camera and took a lot of footage ourselves. Not sure on the video price...sorry

This time we are going to try another Catamaran with a longer trip, Snorkelers Dream Catamaran I'll post a review when we get back
