Capris/Shorts

Revised forecast. Rain everyday the week of xmas in Otown. Will be in the high 70s though.

Xmas day we will have highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Bring extra shoes, windbreaker and those ponchoes.

Do you think there is any point in packing these for our Christmas trip? Or is it really just a jeans and sweatshirts time of year? I'd like to think it will warm there... :goodvibes

We just returned- we were there 12/11-12/17. It was cold. Highs in the low 60s, lows in the low 40s. By the last few days temps climbed to 70, and you could have worn shorts from 11am until the sun started to set, but you definitely needed long pants in the morning and after dusk.

I wore lightweight long sleeves and leggings everyday, with added layers in the morning.

Just keep checking that weather! Accuweather was spot on in its forecast for our trip!

Mid 20s, In WDW now? Weather channel says it is 78 degrees and the expected low is 65. Was just there 2 weeks ago and it was in the low 40s at night. needed pants and jackets at night.

She probably means celcius :) Mid 20's celcius is definately shorts weather for me up north here too! :)

Our trip earlier this month was cold. DH wore shorts for the first few days, but then he caught a bad head cold halfway through the trip (probably because he was determined to wear shorts, lol). It was jeans, sneaker, and t-shirts with sweatshirts/fleeces for the entire trip. There were a few instances in which I wish that I'd had a scarf or mittens, too.

We're from the north and still found low 60s at night to be cool, especially since you're not in the sun. I guess it all depends on the person, but I would be in jeans and t-shirt, possibly capris and t-shirt with low 70s as a high.

Yes. Low 60s at night doesn't not equal shorts weather in my book.

Like everyone has said, you just kind of have to be prepared for anything (Which stinks for packing, I know!). We have been there the last 3 Decembers. We have been able to go into the pools each trip, we have also been in sweatshirts and jeans all three trips. I remember two years ago we were all in tank tops and shorts and sweating in the MK one day, and the next we were all freezing and had to buy clothes in HS. This year we are going in January, so I'm guessing we won't have as much warmth as we have experienced in Dec., but I will still probably pack a few capri length pants/t-shirts, as well as heavier things.

We arrived 12/13 and returned home yesterday. We're used to Wisconsin weather. When it's chilly in Florida, it feels colder than you'd expect because it's so damp. Most days of our trip the temp was in the low 70s. Every day we wore pants or capris and jackets (usually sweatshirts) we necessary in the mornings and evenings. The only day warm enough for shorts and no jacket was the 20th.

Sorry yes I am from Canada so my phone defaults to Celsius I apologize lol. So that's about 80 Fahrenheit. We were in shorts and found it a perfect temperature.

Just came back on Friday and we wore shorts and sweatshirts all week. Actually had to remove the sweatshirt at mid day. We are from PA and the lows in the 40's was much warmer than at home.
