Capris in the parks?

I couldn't wear capris - I would be too hot. Shorts, lightweight tshirt, Keen sandals. I have to carry a jacket for DD6 so she won't freeze in the AC in restaurants. Also, we keep the backpack in the stroller. None of us want to wear it and have a sweaty back.

Have you thought about a knee length skirt or dress? I've found capris are too hot even at home in the summer. I'm one of those people though that's hot all the time. I have a couple pairs of :scared1: maternity shorts that I bought last summer (when I was pregnant obviously, lol) that I'm thinking about bringing w/ us next week. They're linen, so super light weight and so comfy. I'm concerned though about legs sticking to seats and to each other :lmao:.

This is why I'm usually a skirt/dress girl anywhere it's hot. I wear a pair of Spanx under them so I don't have to deal with the thigh issue. It's the coolest option I've found.

For feet I wear my J Crew wedge flip flops. They're super comfy. I've worn them on 2 WDW trips and my feet never hurt. Plus the strap part of the flip flop is ribbon, so less chance of a blister. I couldn't stand being in sneakers all day, my feet would be on fire. I've also done WDW in Old Navy flip flops, my oh my was that painful!

Have a great trip!

I just wore (three different pairs of) linen/cotton blend loose-fitting cargo capris (from Old Navy) to walk around LA all day for the last week during the worst heat wave there in years. It was better than having the sun shining on my legs!

Thanks for all of the feedback. Maybe I'll just bring both capris and shorts and be prepared to sweat...alot!

TinkOhio~ We will be there the same time as you. We generally go during this time frame - late July into early August. I have never worn capris - I wear shorts, Tees, and sneakers. However, for our trip this year I am bringing two pairs of skimmers (not capris). Skimmers (from Kohl's) come to just below the knee. I am hoping it will look okay with sneakers. :rolleyes1 It is about comfort not about fashion...right?

Hi, Mouseteacher:)

Are you S/D-bound? I'm sure that the skimmers will look great.;)

I buy bermuda length (which hits right at my knee because I'm short) and Croc Cleo's.

no problem with capris and sneakers. socks and sandals?--ACK
