Cap'n Jacks at Downtown Disney?

Any opinions on Cap'n Jacks at DD? I made a ADR there for our trip based on someones trip report, but I have'nt heard many opinions on it. If you've been can you tell what you thought of it. Thanks, Linda

we ate dinner there last october on DDP - both had crabcakes (really good!) DH had pot roast, i had twin lobster tails, and chocolate cake dessert

the service was good, the view was nice looking out onto the water and DTD, and we're going back next trip!

We have been there and thought the food was decent and our server was excellent, but it isn't one of the restaurants that we are rushing to go back to. Sorry if this is a bit vague, but my memory is also

We had fuzzy capt. drinks - peachy and very tasty

We had the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer that was fantastic. I don't remember what I had right now, but DH had a mushroom sandwich that was very good.

We shared a yummy dessert too

Overall a very nice and not too expensive dining experience

Went there last summer. Nice ambiance, food left something to be desired.

Waited 45 minutes past our 5PM ADR time only to be seated in a restaurant that was at best half full. Since this was during the Free Dining period, I don't understand how they could be that understaffed that they had a 45 minute backlog at only 50% capacity.

Don't plan on going there again. Ever.

We went there for the 1st time this past january. Waited just a few minutes (10 tops) for our ADR's. We both got the twin lobster tails and the chocolate cake. Service was FAST - we had our food almost instantly (maybe they make the lobsters continuously since so many people order them) and the food was great! We are going back next trip!

We ate there last August and we thought it was just okay, If we wouldn't have been on the ddp it wouldn't have been worth the $150.00 bill.

we had it and loved it. it was one of our favorites. tons of people ask this question and you are going to get answers from both ends of the spectrum. you'll just have to try it and see what your opinion of it is.

If you are doing DDP and like lobster then it is a GREAT place. DH and I enjoyed it a lot. The view is great. They were wonderful with the kids and we enjoyed the food a lot. The only reason we don't visit it every time is that we don't always have as much time at DTD as we are spending most of our time in the parks.

Thank you for the responses, we hav'nt been to DD in years so I'm glad we're going to eat at Cap'n Jacks to give it a try and stroll around DD on our day off from the parks. Thanks, Linda
