Don’t make this thread a political stance for yourself. That is NOT what it is about. You want to talk politics then do it elsewhere.

I appreciate your plea but political conversation is not just about what your affiliation is about and it never has been just about that. It is political no matter what one's viewpoint is on it, it happened at the Capitol Building (a symbol of our politics) while our government was in there discussing politics. The very nature of this is political.

Can anyone since you all are comparing, can anyone post video or pictures of the city burning, buildings burning, stores being looted, innocent people getting beaten to serious injury and death? How can this be compared? Who owns that building? I do. You do. They do. A few people, and it's up in the air which side it was, breached into the building and sat around in offices. How is that comparable to destroying cities and beating innocent people?

The real shame is one person would be banned here for saying their opinion but most everyone else can and do state their opinion without repercussions.

A woman was shot inside The Capitol building. There's video of it. Doubt she survived.

While this shocking event is affecting all of us, it IS political and discussion of it is polarizing and won’t be civil. I hope everyone can find a more appropriate place to discuss their views and feelings, but this is not an appropriate topic for the DISboards.
