Hi all,
Has anyone ever been to this resort located in Hyannis??
Any reviews/comments/opinions you can pass along??

Any good for kids aged 14yrs and younger ??

thanks,

It's been awhile since I've been over there - and I never stayed at that one - but if you're staying right in Hyannis or Hyannisport - all of the hotels/motels tend to be kept in very good shape.. Most have a pool - other than that, I don't think there's much for the kids at the hotels..

Ever been to Hyannis? GREAT place to visit!! :)

They were just talking about this the other day at work. They were saying it is fun for kids. One guy said a couple nights there is enough... but we live here so... I might even have to check it out myself, looks like a good place to relax while the kids have fun!

Never stayed there, but I've eaten at the restaurant that's there, the Hearth N Kettle, very good. The hotel looks like a good place to stay. It's close to the Mall, and being Hyannis, just about in the middle of the Cape, so you can go from there. Might I suggest this site: Tripadvisor.com . In the upper right hand corner you'll see an area that says, "Browse by region." Click on that and then you can go from there. This site is great, 'cause all the reviews written for that hotel are by people who have stayed there. They even have a forum area where you can post questions. And they have a forum for each state, which makes it nice, and from there you can get into the Cape Cod forum. Hope this helps.

Hey miss missy, where do you live? I live in Cotuit! What a small world.

thanks for all the inputs.....
will check out tripadvisor also !!

Someone told me that their rates tend to be quite high.. not sure what
he meant but I will check it out and see ...

Dh and I have stayed there twice, once with our dd's. When we were there with dd's we got stuck due to a snowstorm. The bridges closed so there was no point in leaving.

There is an indoor wave pool but I think it is only a few feet deep. There is another pool that I think had a slide. There is also a hot tub.

My dd's were 10 and 12 when we went and they loved it. When we told them we would have to stay an extra night, the girls were jumping up and down with joy. :Pinkbounc

We've stayed there. The wave pool is pretty cool and the kids really enjoyed it. My only criticism is the lack of space around the pool for parents that don't want to swim - there's these water fountain things that shoot up out of the floor and get the parents wet. Not really a big deal but I remember pressing myself against the glass walls to get away from the spray. We did go in the winter time so maybe they open the doors in the summer and you can sit out there. There was a nice firepit area that I'm sure will be very nice in the warmer weather. It's fun and different.

The hotel itself is fine. I expected it to be nicer (due to price and "spa" that they advertise). It's not top-of-the-line but it's clean and the beds are pretty comfy. The Hearth n Kettle is nice for breakfast.

It's not really close to beaches but convenient to Cape Cod Mall and the airport. It's a nice spot to hang out with the family but to me, lacking in charm and "Capeness". But still fun to visit. Let me know if you have any questions. The Mexican place across the street is good.

I've never stayed there either, but I've eaten at the Hearth 'n Kettle a lot. I agree that the Cape Codder lacks a certain charm that other family owned resorts on the Cape have. It looks really nice though.

We stayed there a couple years ago and really liked it - the kids liked the (small) wave pool and the slides. It is true that there isn't much room for non-swimmers. It can also be a cold walk back to your room from the pool if it isn't summer.

We loved doing the duck tour out of hyannis and playing mini golf. We hope to get there again. IL's live in Orleans but sometimes it's nice to stay off by ourselves. :)

Hi

My husband and I (no kids) stayed there a couple of years ago and I give it a big thumbs up. There is an indoor (small) water park. My memory is that there were 2 water slides, a wave pool and a kid's play area there. Plus, as others have already said, it is centrally located to the mall and other things in Hyannis and it was a nice hotel (i.e. nice rooms) - plus the restaurant on the property was very good (heath n' kettle).

I would definately recommend staying there - especially if you are going with kids - the pool/waterslide area is great. My memory is that at night they have a big bonfire outside too.

I think you will enjoy it.

Have fun!

-Nicole
